Scott has been a high school English and speech teacher, as well as, a head wrestling coach, at Santa Ana High School in Orange County California for over 30 years. Santa Ana High School resides in a city that once ranked number one in the nation for economic hardship.

His book, “A Saint in the City” describes the crime-ridden lives of athletes who didn’t even hope for more in life until they started wrestling. Through Coach Glabb’s reflections and his athletes’ own words, A Saint in the City chronicles the trials, tribulations and triumphs of one team that wrestled for victory.

He is passionate about his profession and loves to share the lessons he has learned and tell stories of the kids he has coached in an effort to inspire others that they can make a difference in a young person’s life.  He was named, Santa Ana Unified High School Teacher of the Year and Semi-Finalist for the Orange County Teacher of the Year Award. He is a two time recipient of the California State coaches wrestling award, and was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2014. He has also been involved with the campus youth ministry “Fellowship of Christian Athletes” since 1992. He was recently honored a Commemoration in Congress by US Representative Lou Correa of California’s 46 Congressional District.

Scott has appeared as a guest expert and author on local news talk television and syndicated radio shows throughout the country.  Comedian/Actor Jay Mohr read Glabb’s book and invited him on his popular Podcast, “Mohr Stories.” He speaks to youth groups, churches, rotary groups, and schools about his experiences coaching and teaching at-risk kids.
