Living the Dream Medal Fund

American pride surges when we see our athletes winning on the world stage. The Living the Dream Medal Fund incentivizes and rewards our best wrestlers to train and compete for multiple Olympic cycles.

Awards

Wrestlers on USA’s World and Olympic teams who win gold, silver or bronze medals are rewarded with funds that give them the means to train, start a family, and continue to inspire the American public as sports icons.

Results

USA is consistently at the top of the podium in World and Olympic competition.  Since inception of the award in 2009, the number of medals won has increased with each Olympic cycle – 14 for the 2012 London quad, 22 through the 2016 Rio games, and an astounding 44 for the Tokyo Olympic cycle.  In 2022, the Men’s and Women’s freestyle teams combined to win 15 medals and set a new record for American medals won at the World Championships.

Be There When It Happens

America’s Best

Awards are given to medalists in all three Olympic wrestling styles – Greco Roman, Men’s Freestyle and Women’s Freestyle, creating new opportunities to promote wrestling and role models for America’s youth.
