Graduating seniors eligible for
a chance to be awarded $1,000!
The US Wrestling Foundation would like to hear from you! We want to hear stories from graduating seniors that emphasize the positive impact of wrestling on the lives of girls, students who have overcome adversity, football players, military academy acceptees, and future college athletes.
Video submissions must be filmed horizontally, with no graphics or text added, and received by June 30th, 2023
The video should be no more than 90-seconds and cover the following:
- Introduce yourself.
- How did you get started wrestling?
- How has wrestling changed your life in regard to your specific category?
- What are some of the life skills wrestling taught you?
- What would you say to someone to encourage them to wrestle?
A $1,000 award will be given to the winner of each respective category:
- Girls – Female wrestlers who developed personally through wrestling.
- Overcoming adversity – Students that have used the skills learned through wrestling as a means to overcome significant challenges.
- Football players – Wrestlers who became better football players and achieved a goal because they wrestled.
- Military academy acceptees – Wrestlers who are attending a military academy and can attest to how wrestling helped them get accepted.
- Future college athletes – Wrestlers who have a scholarship to college that they can partially attribute to wrestling. You do not need to wrestle in college.
